King Goji Berry

Goji Berry benefits have made their way into the mainstream consciousness of health aficionados from all over as marketing and promotions have brought this Chinese berry into the forefront of the modern health craze.
Goji Berry has long been used as a tonic for general well-being in China and often referred to as a "cooling tonic". It is also known by its other names such as Wolfberry and Lycii Berry. It may be eaten raw or cooked, and it is an ingredient often used in Chinese dishes.
Goji Berry is said to be highly rich in vitamins and nutrients. Among those said to be abundant are beta-carotene, vitamin C, vitamin B1, vitamin E, isoleucine, tryptophan, zinc, iron, calcium, selenium, phosphorus, 18 amino acids, 8 polysaccharides, 5 unsaturated fatty acids.

Brew instructions

  • Rinse 4 tablespoon of this tea once with fresh water
  • Add the rinsed tea into a pot or kettle with a half (1/2) gallon of fresh water
  • Boil the tea for 30-40 minutes on low heat
  • Serve hot or keep it in the refrigerator to serve as a refreshment
  • Drink liberally throughout the day
  • Store unused Goji Berry in a dry place

NOTICE: The use of Goji Berry should be avoided by pregnant and nursing women as it contains betaine, which is an emmenagogue and abortifacient. Some Chinese herbalists also suggest people to refrain from using it during times of cold and flu as it is thought to make the aliments worse. Nevertheless, the antioxidants found in the berry are said to be quite potent and impart a host of benefits.
