Herbal Laxative Tea

The herbs in this traditional Chinese formula help promote regularity and provide gentle, effective results. This tea is used to help support digestive system function and to promote the body's normal process of detoxification.*

This Herbal Laxative Tea is a unique blend of Senna leaves, Burdock roots, Jujube, Orange peel, and Peach buds. Senna is an effective FDA-approved nonprescription laxative to promote bowel movements. Burdock Roots enhances the performance of organs to purify the body and eliminate toxins/waste. It also helps relieve indigestion and other gastrointestinal symptoms. Peach Flower buds provide protein and Vitamins A, B, and C and us known to ease constipation and eliminate toxins from the body. It can be also used to address common skin issues (i.e. freckles, wrinkles, acne, and clogged pores).

• Prepare hot water (208 °F).
• Add 1-2 tablespoon of tea leaves in a teapot or Easy Tea Maker.
• Pour 3 oz of hot water and rinse the tea leaves once. 
• Pour 7-8 oz of hot water and let it steep for 3-4 minutes.
• Strain steeped tea and serve (7-8 oz per serving).
• May be steeped again up to 2 times.
• Recommend drinking in the evening before bed for smooth bowel movement in the morning.
• For improved taste, squeeze some lemon and add some honey (or your favorite sweetener).

WARNING: Laxative Tea contains Senna leaf and stem. Read and follow directions carefully. Do not use if you have or develop diarrhea, loose stools, or abdominal pain because Senna leaf and stem may worsen these conditions and be harmful to your health. This tea is not recommended for use by pregnant women or nursing mothers.
